Fishing-style events are a nice change of pace from combat-focused content, but they still reward preparation and consistency over last-minute effort.
Check the scoring rules first
Fishing events typically score based on catch value, catch count, or a combination of both โ knowing which one your current event actually rewards changes whether you should aim for volume or for rare, high-value catches.
Use boosts strategically, not immediately
Save any catch-rate or catch-quality boosts for a session where you can actually play through the event actively, rather than using them the instant you receive them โ a boost used during a rushed, distracted session is largely wasted.
Consistency beats a single big push
Like most recurring events, spreading participation across the full event window tends to outperform a single maximum-effort session, especially if the event has daily bonuses or diminishing returns built into a single sitting.
Don't ignore the shop
Fishing-specific event currency is usually only useful during that event โ check the associated shop before the event ends, since unspent event currency is one of the most common sources of quietly wasted event rewards.
