Inventory management doesn't get much attention as a "system," but a disorganized inventory genuinely costs players value โ mostly in the form of good items sitting unused because they were forgotten.
Sort by urgency, not by type
Rather than organizing your inventory purely by item category, periodically sort by what has the most immediate use โ active speedups, resource packs matching your current bottleneck, or hero shards for whoever you're currently developing.
Use time-limited items first
Items with an expiration timer should always be prioritized over permanent-use items sitting in inventory, since a permanent item loses nothing by waiting, while a time-limited one loses everything if it expires unused.
Don't let event currency go stale
Event-specific currencies are usually only spendable during that event's window. Check your inventory near the end of any event for unspent event currency โ this is one of the most common sources of quietly wasted value in the game.
Review your inventory on a schedule
Rather than relying on remembering to check it, tie an inventory review to something you already do regularly โ right after clearing your daily tasks is a natural point to also glance through what's sitting unused.
When more is genuinely better than less
For permanent, non-expiring resources, there's rarely a downside to holding a surplus โ the real risk is specifically with anything time-limited. Knowing the difference between "fine to sit" and "losing value by sitting" is most of what good inventory management actually is.
