Once your account unlocks additional building or research queue slots, coordinating multiple simultaneous projects becomes its own small optimization problem — and getting it right meaningfully speeds up your overall progress.
Balance queue lengths, don't stack short ones
Filling every queue with the shortest available task might feel productive, but pairing a long task in one queue with a short one in another (so they finish around the same time) generally keeps you checking in and re-queuing more efficiently than several short tasks needing constant attention.
Use secondary queues for lower-priority projects
Your primary queue should usually carry whatever's currently most important — the highest-priority building or research item. Secondary queues are a good place for valuable-but-less-urgent projects you'd otherwise keep deferring indefinitely.
Don't let a queue slot sit empty while you decide
If you're unsure what to queue next, defaulting to something generally useful (a research item you were going to get to eventually, a minor building upgrade) beats leaving a slot idle while you deliberate — the same "idle capacity is wasted capacity" principle applies here.
Plan around queue-boosting events
If your game periodically offers bonus rewards for completing queued items, having multiple queues ready to complete near-simultaneously during that window multiplies the benefit compared to relying on a single queue.
